NETWORKING / LEADS

New Member Social – Provides the opportunity for new members to network with other members, meet members of the Board of Directors and Chamber Ambassadors.  Each new member is given the opportunity to promote their business and distribute business cards, brochures, or promotional items, etc.

Luncheons - Held the 3rd Wednesday of each month, beginning at 11:45 a.m. New members are introduced and allowed the opportunity to speak briefly about their business.  Each luncheon includes recognition of the Soldier of the Month from Ft. Leonard Wood and a featured speaker.

First Friday Coffee – A monthly event designed to provide a networking opportunity for members at a members place of business.  Held the first Friday of each month from 7:30 – 8:30 AM. 

Business After Hours – An event designed to promote your business in a fun laid-back event.  Meet other business owners and managers.  Gain exposure and gather ideas.

Committees – One of the best ways to reap benefits from your investment in the chamber is by becoming a volunteer on one of the Chamber committees.  Contact a chamber staff member to discuss the many ways to get involved, we guarantee there is something to meet everyone’s interest.

Banquet – This special evening features entertainment, networking and is host to the annual recognition presentations.  All members are invited to attend this spectacular event held in January.

Special Events and Mixers – These are held throughout the year to bring members together for both business and pleasure.  These consist of Golf Tournament, FLW Spouses Tour of Rolla, Semi-Sensations, City Wide Christmas Open House, Christmas Parade, and more.


PUBLICITY / EXPOSURE

Membership Directory/Community Profile - Chamber members are listed alphabetically and by category. The community profile section provides valuable information about the community of Rolla. The Chamber distributes over 5,000 copies to the inquiries about Rolla we receive annually.

www.rollachamber.org is the Chamber's online connection to its members and the world. Members can view the Chamber's Calendar of Events, search for fellow members or download the latest census and business data. Members are listed by category with web site links provided at no charge.

Chamber News – The chamber distributes a monthly newsletter, which features events, initiatives, programs, services, and the latest information regarding business and community issues. The newsletter features an advertising opportunity to reach more than 600 businesses and individuals in Rolla and surrounding counties. The Chamber newsletter is inserted into the Rolla Daily News the first business day of the month, reaching an additional 6000+ readers. Chamber Members can advertising in the newsletter by contacting the Rolla Daily News.

Our Members Announce – A press release tool for members only.  Announce to the Chamber membership via email, web site and newsletter changes taking place in your office.

Ribbon Cuttings/Open Houses/Ground Breakings - Celebrate your business opening, relocation 's relocation, or anniversary with this special members only service.

Sponsorships – members can gain excellent publicity by sponsoring events throughout the year.  This direct exposure is unmatched in the business community.

Targeted Mailings – Available to members only.  For a small fee members may request; full membership listings, primary contact listings and community group listings.

Ft. Leonard Wood Newcomer’s Orientation - Once a month the Chamber distributes bags filled with Rolla information to the new troops coming into the Fort.  Only Chamber members can include business brochures/flyers/promotional items, etc in the bags.

Chamber Gift Checks – This program was designed to promote local shopping.  Any and all Chamber members are encouraged to sign up as participating businesses.  There is no cost to participate.  Individuals can redeem Chamber Gift Checks at participating businesses.  The business then deposits the checks just like any other check they receive.  These checks are available for purchase at the Chamber office.  We encourage everyone to purchase them for a unique gift to family, friends, employees, etc.


PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Seminars/Workshops – the Chamber sponsors seminars and workshops, which feature a variety of topics focusing on presentations that help develop lasting skills to create a positive, productive and profitable atmosphere in the workplace.

Leadership Phelps County – Motivates emerging leaders and develops their potential for community leadership by acquainting them with the realities, opportunities, and challenges of Rolla.


REFERRALS

Member Referrals – The Chamber receives thousands of requests each year for goods & services to be purchased in our area.  We refer Chamber members to visitors, newcomers, businesses, and area residents.  By displaying Chamber member decals, our members enhance their credibility and recognition.
