The Education Committee of the Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize the efforts of Jessika Zink as the 2017 Outstanding Educator.
This award is designed to honor an educator who exemplifies creativity, enthusiasm, commitment and development of positive learning environment. Positive learning environments have proven to prepare students for success beyond the classroom.
Ms. Zink was nominated by several community members, outlining her dedication to her students and commitment to the community. Ms. Zink serves as the science and math leader for 5th grade. She provides in-service training for kindergarten through ninth grade teachers in the Rolla Public Schools system. In addition, she is a PLTW (Project Lead the Way) facilitator; students from Missouri S&T and surrounding school districts observe her teaching Project Lead the Way lessons. She is very active in community efforts such as, SWAG (Students Willing and Giving), Pennies for Polio, visits to St. James Veterans’ Home, First Responders’ Luncheon, and the RMS Trach Pick Up Committee.
