Shopping local is always a good idea but now more than ever with today’s economy.  We need to remember that we can do our part to ensure that our community continues to prosper and grow.  This can simply be done by shopping locally every chance we get.  When you decide to shop locally, you are not only helping to sustain and grow business in the area, but you are fueling our economy from both an investment and employment perspective.

When shopping locally, you simultaneously create jobs, fund more city services through sales tax, invest in neighborhood improvement and promote community development.  Shopping locally enhances our quality of life through city provided services like police and fire, street maintenance, street lights and parks.  You also show your support of the community and loyalty to the businesses and other entities that make our city a wonderful place to work and live.  One thing to remember is every purchase made outside Rolla benefits another city’s quality of life.

The Chamber has embarked on a new program that will be beneficial to our members as well as the residents of our community. The Chamber Gift Check program is an easy gift certificate program that allows us to offer versatile gift checks redeemable at any participating Chamber member.  A Chamber Gift Check is purchased at the Chamber office, 1311 Kingshighway.  Along with each check, a list of participating members is provided. The recipient can then redeem it at any participating Chamber business listed.
    
The FREE program provides a unique benefit to our members, yet affords the consumer a choice to pay for any type of goods or services. Chamber members, residents, and visitors to the area are encouraged to use Chamber Gift Checks as a gift giving solution throughout the year and especially during the holiday season. By purchasing a Chamber Gift Check, consumers keep their shopping dollars local and gift giving has never been easier.
